Parking

The Charlotte Convention Center has plentiful parking options. For a list of options, click HERE. Below are three garages and lots we recommend.

NASCAR Hall of Fame Garage

Parking is available in the NASCAR Hall of Fame Parking Deck with an over-street walkway connecting to the Charlotte Convention Center.  This deck is accessible from the entrance at 500 S. Brevard St. and the Caldwell lot adjacent to the Hall of Fame.

Caldwell Lot

Located across from the NASCAR Hall of Fame (Saturday & Sunday)

The Westin Charlotte

This hotel offers ample parking and is located across from the Charlotte Convention Center on the corner of Brooklyn Village Avenue and College Street.

LYNX Blue Line​​ Light Rail

The light rail is a great way to reach the Charlotte Convention Center.  It operates from ​I-485 at South Boulevard to UNC Charlotte’s main campus in University City. We recommend driving and parking at one of the Park & Ride stations which you can find on the map by clicking here. Service operates every 15 minutes during non-peak hours. Weekend service operates every 20 minutes during the day and every 30 minutes during late night hours.​​

Directions

From I-85

Driving South from points North of Charlotte.
  • Take Brookshire Freeway (Highway 16 South), Exit 36.
  • Merge right onto the I-277 loop (John Belk Freeway).
  • Take Brooklyn Village Avenue, Exit 1E.
  • Turn left on Brooklyn Village Avenue and proceed 3 blocks.
  • The Charlotte Convention Center will be on your right after you cross Brevard Street.
Driving North from points South of Charlotte.
  • Take Little Rock Road, Exit 32.
  • Turn right at the bottom of the ramp.
  • Turn right at the first traffic light.
  • Turn left at the 2nd traffic light onto Wilkinson Boulevard (Hwy 74 East).
  • Follow Wilkinson Boulevard as it becomes the I-277 loop (John Belk Freeway).
  • Take College Street, Exit 1E.
  • The Charlotte Convention Center will be on your right after you cross Brooklyn Village Avenue.

From I-77

Driving South from points North of Charlotte.
  • Take the 1-277 loop (John Belk Freeway), Exit 9.
  • Take College Street, Exit 1E.
  • The Charlotte Convention Center will be on your right after you cross Brooklyn Village Avenue.
Driving North from points South of Charlotte.
  • Take the 1-277 loop (John Belk Freeway), Exit 9B.
  • Take College Street, Exit 1E.
  • The Charlotte Convention Center will be on your right after you cross Brooklyn Village Avenue.

From US Highway 74 (Wilkinson Blvd on the West and Independence Blvd on the East)

Driving east from points west of Charlotte
  • Follow Wilkinson Boulevard (Hwy 74 East) as it becomes the I-277 loop (John Belk Freeway).
  • Take College Street, Exit 1E.
  • The Charlotte Convention Center will be on your right after you cross Brooklyn Village Avenue.
Driving west from points east of Charlotte
  • Follow Independence Boulevard (Hwy 74 West) and merge left onto the I-277 loop (John Belk Freeway).
  • Take Brooklyn Village Avenue, Exit 1E.
  • Turn left onto Brooklyn Village Avenue and proceed 3 blocks.
  • The Charlotte Convention Center will be on your right after you cross Brevard Street.
