CHARLOTTE INTERNATIONAL AUTO SHOW "PREVIEW NIGHT" TO BENEFIT LOCAL Y’s
November 19th - 6:30pm-9:00pm
The Charlotte International Auto Show kicks off this year with a Preview Night benefiting all area YMCA’s. This annual preview night event will be held Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at the Charlotte Convention Center beginning at 6:30pm. Attendees will have the opportunity to view the 2015 models with style and excitement while benefiting a great local charity. Buy tickets NOW for Preview Night using this link. RIDE AND DRIVE SATURDAY AND SUNDAY
The Charlotte International Auto Show is offering Ride & Drive opportunities this Saturday and Sunday. This program will allow consumers to get behind the wheel of various models and take these cars and crossovers for a spin. Drivers must be at least 18 years old, produce a valid driver's license, provide follow-up information, sign a waiver of liability and pass a Breathalyzer test to participate in the program. All participants will be accompanied by an in-vehicle host who helps answer product related questions and assists in demonstrating the many features and benefits of these technologically advanced vehicles.

PLAY BEACH BALL CONTEST TO WIN $500 BEST BUY GIFT CARD:
When entering the Convention Center to attend the Auto Show, you will not be able to miss a small car (only small cars will fit on the street level) filled with Beach Balls. Autotrader.com is sponsoring a contest to guess how many beach balls are in the car - the entry with the exact number - or closest to the exact number - will win a $500 Best Buy Gift Card. If there is more than one correct entry, a drawing will be held to choose the winner. Winner will be announced after the close of the Auto Show.
KIDS FIRST HELMET DONATION SATURDAY AND SUNDAY:
NEW this year, the Auto Show is partnering with John Hancock from News Talk 1110, WBT to collect bicycle helmets for his children's Christmas Charity - "Hey Kid, It's Santa". Every year hundreds of bicycles are donated to deserving children in the Charlotte area. Help keep these kids safe by bringing a new bike helmet to donate at this year's Auto Show on Saturday and Sunday and receive one free admission to the Auto Show. This is a great way to show your holiday spirit and to help make it special for all kids.
HISTORY OF THE AUTOMOBILE
Back by popular demand will be our History of the Automobile display. It is like taking a walk back in time and brings back a lot of memories for a lot of folks. And throughout the show there will be a few special "then and now" displays with the classic models beside the 2015 model of the of the same car.
FAMILY DAY SET FOR NOVEMBER 23
Families are welcome every day at the Auto Show, but Sunday is SPECIAL. Area mascots - including Charlotte Hornets' Hugo, Carolina Panthers' Sir Purr, Charlotte Checkers' Chubby and Charlotte Knights' Homer will all be at the Show on Sunday. Again this year Santa Claus will visit with children. Entertainment will include live music, face painting and clowns. Children 12 and under will receive a ticket for an hourly drawing for a family four pack of movie entertainment - tickets and concessions - valued at over $50.00. All of this for the price of admission; children 12 and under are admitted free with an adult. Sunday really is a fun family day at the Auto Show.
Santa will be at the Auto Show:
FREE LUNCH - Thursday and Friday
The Charlotte International Auto Show will provide a complimentary lunch for every paying visitor between the hours of 12 Noon and 2PM on Thursday and Friday, November 20th and 21st, 2014. Every paid admission will receive a ticket stub good for a hot dog and drink from either of the two concession stands open in exhibit halls A & B. Visitors may have their hand stamped so they may re-enter the Show after work.

BRING YOUR CAMERA TO THE AUTO SHOW
Bring your camera to the Show. Photography is allowed and what great opportunities there are for terrific pictures. You'll experience beautiful displays, turntable exhibits and all the allure of a major Auto Show. On Saturday and Sunday your children may have their picture taken with Santa Claus and on Sunday all area mascots will be available as well for photo opportunities.
